How a Leading Real Estate Developer Made the Leap To the Cloud

Embassy Group, a world-leading real estate developer, needed a more secure and manageable way to back up employee laptop data after adopting Microsoft Office 365. Its legacy endpoint backup setup was manual to administer, required open firewall ports and additional on-premises infrastructure, and did not align well with the company’s security and cloud goals. Parablu Inc addressed this challenge with BluVault and its secure cloud gateway, BluKrypt.

Parablu Inc implemented a solution that encrypted endpoint data on-premises before sending it to Embassy Group’s OneDrive for Business storage, while keeping encryption keys under the customer’s control and simplifying user management through Active Directory integration. The deployment supported roaming users, improved backup performance and compliance, and eliminated the need for new cloud storage investment. Embassy Group reported 22TB of data backed up for about 600 key employees and approximately 70% savings in TCO by using existing OneDrive for Business subscriptions.
