Sonny's BBQ, a regional barbecue chain with 110 locations, needed a modern data strategy to tighten margins, improve visibility, and consolidate transactional and operational data for both store-level and corporate decision-making. To achieve this, Sonny's selected PAR OPS’ Restaurant Magic back-office software (integrated with the Brink POS) to replace older systems and centralize reporting and analysis.
PAR OPS implemented Restaurant Magic with a customized rollout and training program, integrating Brink POS data, custom reports, dashboards, predictive inventory, and near–real-time alerts. The solution delivered measurable impact: COGS savings of 1–2.4%, total sales growth 4.93% above the industry average, performance above the 90th percentile for casual dining (BBI), stronger loss prevention, lower food costs, and improved operational and marketing effectiveness.
