Military Deli And Bakery Services, Inc. (MDBS) is a subcontractor to the Defense Commissary Agency supplying deli and bakery goods to more than 100 commissaries, including remote sites in Alaska, Hawaii and North Dakota. Their specialized operating model created unusual inventory and sales challenges, and before implementing Restaurant Magic’s Data Central they relied on spreadsheets, paper and faxing—processes that were time-consuming and lacked visibility.
