Case Study: Cardiff Council improves inspections and compliance with Papertrail

A Papertrail Case Study

Cardiff Council - Customer Case Study

The City of Cardiff Council needed to improve the health and safety inspection regime for its high-risk waste collection service. A key challenge was that mobile crews were difficult to pin down for inspections, and the existing paper-based system made it hard to log results and track necessary follow-up actions. The council turned to the vendor Papertrail to implement its inspection management solution.

Papertrail provided a mobile system that allowed inspectors to log results from anywhere and automatically trigger alerts for follow-up actions. This increased the accuracy and visibility of inspections, leading to a greater number of issues being identified and addressed. The Council also gained 24/7 access to training records and saw an overall increase in reporting and compliance. As a result of the successful rollout for waste collection, Cardiff Council is now looking to extend the Papertrail platform across other service areas.
