Wheatley Park School simplifies Chromebook printing in minutes with PaperCut

Wheatley Park School, a UK-based Google reference school, needed a robust replacement for the soon-to-be-deprecated Google Cloud Print to enable printing from its extensive Chromebook program. The school also required better print management to gain visibility into student printing behaviors and reduce paper waste. They turned to their existing vendor, PaperCut, for a solution using its Mobility Print product.

PaperCut's Mobility Print provided a like-for-like replacement for Google Cloud Print with improved reliability, especially for schools with limited bandwidth. The solution gave the school control over printing with reporting functionality and hard quotas for students, reducing wasteful printing. According to the IT Technical Director, the implementation was simple and took just minutes. PaperCut delivered a solution that "just works" and is now the default print solution the school insists on for the institutions it oversees.
