Uplifting a School Community with Unlimited 24/7 District-Wide Tutoring

Richland School District partnered with Paper to address long-standing gaps in academic support that became even more pronounced during the pandemic. The district wanted a way for students to self-advocate, get help outside school hours, and receive individualized support beyond what busy teachers and families could provide.

Paper implemented unlimited 24/7 tutoring, writing feedback, and study support across more than 200 subjects in multiple languages, giving Richland students on-demand access to knowledgeable tutors. The rollout led to strong adoption: 66% of students became active users in the first few months, including more than 77% of high school students, with 3,076 learning moments, 2,330 tutoring sessions, and 746 essays reviewed. Richland reported positive impacts on both math and ELA instruction, along with improved reporting for teachers and administrators.
