How 9th Grade English Teachers Used Paper to Give More A’s

Woodbridge High School used Paper, specifically its Essay Review feature, to help 9th grade English students improve essay writing and peer reviewing. Teachers found that many freshmen were struggling to give quality feedback and meet high school writing expectations, creating a gap that needed extra support.

To address this, Paper provided students with tutor-reviewed, annotated essays they could use as models for future assignments and peer reviews. Woodbridge High School saw stronger writing performance and reduced teacher workload, with students who submitted to Paper reportedly earning A’s and B’s while non-users earned C’s and D’s; Ms. King also noted those students improved their essays by about 10%.
