Elephant Ventures Cuts Page Load Times for Client by 97%

Elephant Ventures, a New York–based technology, design, and digital strategy firm and Pantheon Gold Partner, was called in to rescue a major client’s imminent product launch. Although the site looked right in development, legacy Drupal code, change-control issues, large video assets and API latency produced three-minute page loads that threatened the release.

Elephant ran a performance-tuning assessment and used Pantheon’s Multidev branching, on-demand scalability, automated performance checks, and ULTRA Testing’s manual QA—plus S3 CORS for video delivery—to optimize and parallelize work. Page loads fell from three minutes to under six seconds (under two seconds when cached), video upload and distribution sped up, two development teams could work in tandem, and the client launched with confidence.
