California College of the Arts, led by Web Director Allen Fear, needed a way to manage a core team of four plus 50+ content contributors and to feature site content more creatively than their prior static/custom CMS allowed. The challenge was to scale contribution, speed feature development, and maintain web best practices without dedicating staff to complex infrastructure.

They adopted Drupal on Pantheon, using Pantheon’s Dev/Test/Live environments, Multidev branching, Git and SFTP workflows, and automated system administration to enable safe experimentation and faster shipping. The result: smoother collaboration, more frequent innovation, reduced operational overhead, and a refocused team spending energy on end-user experience rather than infrastructure.
