A PanTerra Networks Case Study
New Mexico Workforce Management, a state agency under the Eastern Area Workforce Development Board serving 12 counties, needed a modern telecommunications solution to support geographically dispersed staff, satellite offices and remote workers. With tight state budgets, the agency required multi‑mode communication—voice, messaging, presence, group voicemail and extension calling—without increasing costs, because its legacy systems were fragmented and unsatisfactory.
PanTerra deployed WorldSmart 4.0, a cloud‑based unified communications platform that unified voice, conferencing, web collaboration, fax, instant messaging, presence and mobile features like find‑me/follow‑me and MobileMessage. The rollout cut telecommunications costs while improving responsiveness, mobility, instant access to people and information, productivity and customer satisfaction, with plans to extend the service to other New Mexico state providers.
