Using Panorama Surveys to Empower Students at Highline Public Schools

Highline Public Schools, located in Burien, WA, serves 18,000 students in 34 schools and wanted to build a district program based on student input. District leaders needed a way to gather feedback and elevate student voices, especially from underrepresented communities, and they used Panorama Education’s Panorama Feedback Surveys to do it.

After piloting the surveys in 15 schools in 2021-22, Highline rolled them out across all 34 schools. Panorama Education data showed concerns around belonging and positive relationships with adults, leading to community listening sessions and Tier 1 MTSS work; since early 2022, the district has collected over 900 pieces of feedback data and is using the results to inform classroom indicators, walkthroughs, peer observations, and teacher professional development.
