Liberty Public Schools' Journey to Meeting Reading Success Plan Goals

Liberty Public Schools, a district of 12,430 students and 19 schools in Clay County, Missouri, needed a better way to manage student supports and meet the requirements of Missouri Senate Bill 681. The district had been using a data dashboard, but leaders wanted a system that would help educators have more meaningful conversations about student supports, develop Reading Success Plans, monitor progress, keep families updated, and report on interventions and assessments.

Liberty implemented Panorama Education’s Panorama Student Success to gather baseline data, identify students needing RSPs, set growth targets, and track progress in one place. The district also used Panorama to streamline reporting and family communication, and over one semester one ELA class saw a 15% increase in students reading at or above grade level while students two or three levels below grade level decreased by 21%.
