A Panorama Education Case Study
Waltham Public Schools, a Massachusetts district serving 5,600 students, faced persistent inequities—lower graduation rates for some underrepresented groups and uneven student engagement—despite recent gains in overall achievement. To build a research-backed, data-driven way to monitor student progress and guide supports, Waltham partnered with Panorama Education and adopted Panorama Student Success to consolidate attendance, behavior, coursework, and SEL data into one accessible early warning system.
Using Panorama Education’s Panorama Student Success, the district paired one-click data dashboards with human processes—monthly EWI meetings, adult advocates, Tier I/II intervention menus, and student recognition—to target supports at McDevitt Middle School and districtwide. Educators report clear, measurable impacts: teachers turned failing grades into passing through interventions like Homework Club, improved attendance for students with medical absences, and even reduced special services for a student whose attendance and academics recovered—showing faster identification and more effective, equity-focused interventions.
