How Ogden School District Is Building and Scaling Mtss From the Ground Up to Support Every Student

Ogden School District serves 12,300 students in Ogden, Utah, and was working to build a district-wide MTSS while facing high rates of chronic absenteeism, dropout risk, and behavior and achievement gaps. The district wanted a more proactive way to use data, since leaders felt they were using it as an “autopsy” instead of a diagnostic, and it had taken two to three days to pull attendance, behavior, and grade data by spreadsheet.

With Panorama Education’s MTSS software platform, including Panorama Student Success and Surveys and Engagement, the district connected key data systems into one place for early warning indicators, student surveys, and intervention tracking. Ogden School District created weekly Child Assistance Teams, improved progress monitoring, and streamlined access to data, helping staff save time and act more quickly; the district also reported that one at-risk student who had dropped out graduated early.
