How Indianapolis Public Schools Is Keeping Students Connected and Learning At Home

Indianapolis Public Schools worked with Panorama Education when school closures due to COVID-19 forced the district to set up at-home learning for 32,000 students and 2,600 educators. The district needed to identify which students lacked devices and reliable internet so they could stay connected to teachers and continue learning from home.

Using Panorama Education’s Technology and Accessibility Survey, IPS gathered around 7,300 responses from families representing nearly 14,000 students within a week. The survey data, along with phone banking, helped the district distribute nearly 4,000 laptops and purchase 1,500 internet hotspots, and Panorama Education provided twice-daily survey updates so IPS could act quickly.
