Gresham-Barlow School District strengthens student interventions with Panorama

The Gresham-Barlow School District (GBSD) sought to implement a district-wide multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) to achieve its mission of preparing every student for career and life success. The district needed a robust data system to proactively identify students needing support and to understand the root causes behind their struggles, moving beyond anecdotal evidence. To address this challenge, GBSD partnered with Panorama Education to use its early warning indicator and intervention system.

Panorama's solution provided a holistic view of student needs by combining data points across academics, attendance, and discipline. The system enabled staff to record and track interventions in one place, spur preventative action using early warning indicators, and analyze data through an equity lens to promote equitable outcomes. As a result, GBSD can now get ahead of students falling off track, understand the impact of their efforts at multiple levels, and use data to work towards its end game of student career and life readiness.
