A Panorama Education Case Study
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), one of the nation's largest and most diverse districts, faced challenges in using student survey data effectively. Their existing surveys produced anonymous or delayed results, making it difficult for educators to take timely and targeted action. FCPS also lacked a consistent way to use this student voice data across their Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and needed to connect it to broader goals like attendance and belonging. They partnered with Panorama Education to implement Panorama Surveys and Engagement.
Panorama provided FCPS with timely, student-level data that was useful across all MTSS tiers. The solution included appointing a Survey Lead at each school and providing professional development. This empowered educators to turn insights into action, such as introducing new curricula and relationship-building strategies. As a result, FCPS saw significant measurable impacts, including one middle school achieving a 3-point increase in student belonging and a 3-point drop in chronic absenteeism in a single year, and an elementary school reporting a 6-point improvement in emotion regulation. Panorama's partnership helped FCPS make student voice a central part of everyday practice and strategic planning.
