Creating and Implementing a Remarkable MTSS at Rockford Public Schools

Rockford Public Schools, a district of 27,000 students and 42 schools in Rockford, Illinois, needed to build a stronger MTSS foundation and implement it with fidelity across all buildings. The district also lacked a shared way to track student interventions and progress, and it struggled to provide guidance and professional development at its size. Rockford worked with Panorama Education and used Panorama Student Success and Panorama Strategic Advising.

Panorama Education helped Rockford roll out Student Success through a slow-leak approach, with role-based training, biweekly advising, and ongoing professional development for district and school teams. The district developed a strong MTSS that is now implemented across all schools, with all student information in one platform to streamline support decisions. Rockford said Panorama saved teachers substantial time and resources, and staff engagement with the platform remained very high.
