Boston Public Schools reaches nearly 25,000 families with Panorama to support students

Boston Public Schools (BPS), the largest district in Massachusetts, faced a challenge in supporting its 50,000 students equitably. The district lacked a common set of tools for its educators, leading to inefficiencies and gaps in identifying and assisting students who were off track for graduation. To address this, BPS partnered with Panorama Education to implement its Student Success platform to streamline data access and empower educators with actionable insights.

Panorama's solution integrated data from the district's Student Information System and six different assessments, creating a uniform system for tracking attendance, grades, behavior, and assessment scores. This provided educators with a holistic view of each student, enabling earlier and more efficient intervention. The partnership also allowed BPS to rapidly respond to community needs during the COVID-19 pandemic by conducting a family needs survey and integrating the results directly into the platform. As a result, BPS saw its graduation rate increase and its dropout rate decrease, and it was able to mobilize support for thousands of families based on actionable data provided by Panorama.
