Wichita State University needed a simple, scalable way to capture and manage lectures, virtual orientations, and FAQ demos across its graduate, undergraduate, online and hybrid courses without increasing support overhead. The challenge was to find a faculty-friendly solution that would be quickly adopted for webcam introductions, short “lecture snippets,” and course content management.

WSU deployed Panopto, integrating webcam recordings, short lecture segments, FAQ demos, and Blackboard connectivity while promoting adoption through training and campus marketing. In ten months Panopto saw 5,300 unique users, about 36,000 views and nearly 400,000 minutes watched; faculty praised its ease of use and the university plans broader use across colleges such as Health Professions and Engineering.
