Qualcomm Wireless Academy Training the World's Future Technology Leaders

Qualcomm Wireless Academy (QWA) is Qualcomm’s global wireless education program that has trained tens of thousands of learners over 17 years. Tasked with expanding access to deep technical training worldwide—and already using Panopto for eight years—QWA was forced by the COVID‑19 pandemic to rapidly shift from primarily in‑person instruction to a fully online learning model.

Using Panopto, QWA quickly relaunched its eLearning portfolio into a scalable virtual instructor‑led offering—building 160+ hours across 50 5G courses—and now delivers 80–100 courses annually to learners in 24 countries. The platform enabled a seamless transition that more than doubled users from 2020–2021, reduced travel costs and instructor strain, and optimized the academy’s global training operations.
