Plymouth Marjon University rolls out Panopto across 17 classrooms

Plymouth Marjon University, renowned for its comprehensive sports program, faced a challenge when scheduled lectures clashed with important student sporting events. The university needed a resolution that would support both academic commitments and student participation in sports. To address this, they turned to vendor Panopto for a lecture capture solution.

The solution implemented was Panopto's automated lecture capture system, which required little intervention from staff and integrated seamlessly with the university's Moodle VLE. Following a successful pilot, the impact extended beyond resolving the initial scheduling issue. It provided all students, particularly those with learning difficulties, the ability to review lectures on-demand. As a result, Plymouth Marjon University is rolling out Panopto across 17 more classrooms and plans to make it available on all staff machines.
