Perkins Coie Keeps 1,000 Attorneys Connected Learning and Sharing Information with Video

Perkins Coie LLP, a law firm with more than 1,000 attorneys across 19 U.S. and Asian offices, needed a way to scale training and knowledge sharing beyond ad-hoc, in-person conversations as the firm grew. The learning team wanted a lightweight, secure solution that would let attorneys capture and share expertise from any office or device and make institutional knowledge easily discoverable.

Perkins Coie deployed the Panopto enterprise video platform to record on laptops and mobile devices, capture live events with a portable appliance, and host a secure, centrally managed video library. By uploading continuing education content, adding slide decks and tables of contents, and using Panopto’s ASR/OCR indexing, the firm made training instantly searchable and broadly accessible—reducing HR inquiries, uniting offices, and enabling attorneys to record and share best practices while preserving institutional knowledge.
