Making Video Communication Part of Corporate Culture

KK Ashisuto, a 1,200‑person Japanese firm, needed a way to maintain communication, knowledge sharing, and morale during the COVID‑19 pandemic and to treat presentations and product explanations as reusable information assets. Concerned that remote work would weaken internal ties and external messaging, the new business co‑creation team evaluated Panopto as a platform to digitize and centralize video communication.

Ashisuto ran an internal campaign encouraging staff to create videos—1,000 employees made introduction clips—to lower the barrier to filming and embed video in daily work. They used Panopto for training manuals, recorded seminars and meetings, and sales enablement; the program produced 12,012 uploaded videos, 47,044 viewing hours (about one hour per employee per day), 535 learning videos, and over 1,000 active users with ~200 new content contributors monthly. The result was a lasting culture of video‑based knowledge sharing, faster, more focused meetings, and a tool the company now recommends to clients.
