Lecture Recording, Live Streaming, and LMS Integration

Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), a top Malaysian university serving over 8,000 students, set out to upgrade its classrooms to support blended and flipped-learning approaches. As part of that modernization, the university needed a video solution that was easy for instructors to use, could reliably live stream long events without platform-imposed limits, and would integrate securely with its Moodle LMS.

UNITEN selected Panopto, which lets faculty “open and press record,” supports scheduled/remote classroom capture, and delivers high-definition, unrestricted live streaming (used to broadcast a full 5-hour convocation). Panopto’s Moodle integration and Smart Search let students play, search, and jump to specific moments inside LMS lessons, making lectures easier to revisit; overall the platform has simplified recording and streaming for staff and improved access and study efficiency for students, enabling broader adoption of blended learning.
