Kettering University was challenged to live-stream its graduation ceremony to a global audience with only two weeks' notice and without external AV support. The university's president tasked the Global Campus team, which already used Panopto for delivering recorded course content, to find a solution for this high-stakes event.

Using the Panopto video platform, the team captured and streamed the ceremony. The live stream accounted for 25% of total attendance, allowing families worldwide to view the event in real time. Beyond graduation, Panopto enabled Kettering to enhance its distance learning program by moving from shipping DVDs to online video, and it allowed faculty to teach remotely from anywhere. Panopto helped the university reduce barriers to education and make global students feel like valued community members.
