SK Telecom, South Korea’s largest wireless operator, faced a sudden challenge in 2020 when COVID-19 lockdowns and an obsolete Flash-based video system threatened its in-person training programs and a 46,000-employee workforce. The Competency Culture Group needed to quickly sustain learning, knowledge-sharing, and remote collaboration while maintaining innovation and operational continuity.
By integrating Panopto with its LMS, SK Telecom rapidly moved training online with live and on-demand video, producing 25 live streams in eight months and building a library of nearly 5,000 videos. The platform scaled reliably, drove more than 100 hours of employee viewing per day (50× recorded hours), cut offline training costs by half, and delivered uninterrupted education and engagement across the organization.
