Barker College in Australia uses Panopto to Improve Teaching and Learning by Capturing Lesson Content, Flipping the Classroom and More

Barker College, an Anglican day and boarding school of about 2,060 students north of Sydney, wanted to use video to “inspire each learner” but found its existing recording setup too limited. Staff sought a simple, secure platform to support flipped classrooms, live-streamed and on-demand lessons, and better coverage of offsite campus activities.

The college selected Panopto for its ease of use and LMS integration, enabling teachers to record with laptops, tablets or phones and embed videos directly into units. Early results include improved revision resources, wider adoption of flipped-classroom activities, positive staff feedback, and faster topic review through Panopto’s Smart Search; Barker is expanding professional development, planning campus camera installs, and exploring broader offsite sharing.
