Achieving streamlined production, better quality content and delivering an improved student experience with Panopto

The Irish Tax Institute, which serves over 1,300 new CTA students annually and some 5,000 associate members, needed to scale and modernise its blended learning as more teaching moved online during COVID-19. Relying on separate tools for streaming, recording and editing had become time‑consuming and inconsistent, while students demanded better searchability, playback control and interactive features to study flexibly around full‑time work.

The Institute adopted Panopto as an all‑in‑one video content management solution, integrated with Blackboard and Zoom, enabling non‑destructive editing, automatic indexing of slides and transcripts, playback speed control, bookmarks, quizzes and discussion tools. Production time and administrative overhead fell, external lecturers adapted quickly, and students reported faster, more searchable access and greater interactivity — helping the Institute deliver a scalable, higher‑quality learning experience.
