NurseGrid, a Portland-based healthcare tech company used by over half a million nurses, struggled to combine data across six front-ends and multiple relational and non-relational stores (MongoDB, MySQL, Intercom, Jira, MixPanel) so engineering could focus on features rather than reporting. The company’s early BI clone could not scale to meet customer and partner requests, so NurseGrid evaluated solutions and selected Panoply’s all-in-one data platform with built-in ETL to quickly aggregate and normalize disparate product and customer data.

Panoply ingested and joined MongoDB and MySQL data and combined it with customer sources like Jira and Intercom, producing a 360-degree view of platform and customer health that NurseGrid visualizes in Chartio. With Panoply, data became self-serve (reducing engineering involvement), Customer Success and Sales can surface adoption and engagement insights, and the team can easily share normalized datasets with customers and partners.
