A Pandora FMS Case Study
Tuenti, a rapidly growing social application headquartered in Madrid, needed a more reliable, scalable monitoring platform to replace fragile, script-based checks that lacked redundancy, historical data and proper alerting. They selected Pandora FMS to provide automated monitoring, escalation-capable alerting and the ability for a wider set of teams to create and maintain checks, supporting trend analysis and capacity planning for their production environment.
Pandora FMS was deployed on test hosts, existing checks were migrated in stages and the system was scaled horizontally by adding monitoring servers and MySQL collectors. Pandora FMS kept up with check volume and execution frequency and now forms the core of Tuenti’s production infrastructure monitoring and alerting—enabling faster deployment of checks and servers, a unified interface, historical performance data for root-cause analysis and capacity planning, and tiered user permissions.
