A Pandora FMS Case Study
Ribera Salud’s IT division, B2B Management Services, needed to insource and modernize monitoring for its hospital IT infrastructure and migrate an existing platform into an ITIL-based service model under very tight deadlines. To ensure continuous visibility of critical systems (HIS, RIS, servers, storage, network and applications) the group selected the Pandora FMS monitoring platform to replace and extend its previous solution across multiple hospitals.
Pandora FMS was implemented to integrate prior monitoring, provide dashboards, topology/service maps, scheduled reports, role-based and multiclient management, and support custom scripting for fast adaptation. The deployment scaled from 552 to 1,162 agents (3,825 to 6,305 monitors; 2,940 to 5,178 alerts), absorbed an additional hospital (+556 agents, 2,132 monitors, 1,987 alerts), now monitoring three hospitals, and delivered 24/7 alerting and predictive reporting—helping meet all deadlines and yielding an estimated 20% cost savings.
