RanTek A/S, a Scandinavian value‑creating distributor for network, monitoring and security services, needed a monitoring platform to launch managed services for resellers and their end‑users. They required an agent-based solution that could retrieve statistical data without site‑to‑site VPNs, offer XML data handling, be extendable at the source level, and come with commercial support—requirements that led them to choose Pandora FMS (including its Linux agent and XML support).

RanTek extensively tested Pandora FMS Console, Server and Agent, worked with Artica to enhance alerting, and implemented a custom agent that collects data from up to 150 devices and communicates via XML to a secured backend using the Tentacle proxy. With Pandora FMS as the core, RanTek now delivers value‑added monitoring, alerting and proactive support, can store full-resolution data under strict SLAs, and runs a scalable platform capable of handling hundreds of thousands of modules while strengthening reseller relationships.
