Propel Electrolyte Water turned to Pandora For Brands to boost purchase intent and become a top-of-mind choice for exercisers in the enhanced fitness beverage market. Propel’s challenge was to inspire movement, communicate Propel’s hydrating benefits versus competitors, and reach fitness-focused listeners during key workout moments using Pandora For Brands’ audio and mobile ad environment.
Pandora For Brands implemented two engagement-driven products—Sponsored Listening (an accelerometer-enabled, movement-based rich media ad to unlock uninterrupted listening) and four Custom Stations under the “Propel Power Workout” theme—targeted to Passionate Exercisers, Sports Drink Purchasers and Runners with day-parted, weather-aware creative. In just over four months more than 264,000 listeners added a Propel station, station listening time exceeded Pandora benchmarks by 60% (equivalent to over 20 years of continuous brand time), Sponsored Listening delivered a 4.4% CTR, and third‑party measurement showed +63% ad awareness and +60% purchase intent for Propel.
