Shiseido Beautifies its UAT with Panaya

Shiseido, a global cosmetics company with over 33,000 employees, faced a tight 5.5‑month deadline to upgrade its SAP landscape from ECC EHP4 to EHP6 across six competence centers and 11 European countries. With more than 300 users, almost 80 testers and 676 business processes to validate, the program was hampered by a lack of large‑scale UAT culture, dispersed teams, and cumbersome Excel‑based planning that left progress visibility, collaboration and change control unreliable.

Shiseido adopted Panaya to centralize testing, automate tester notifications, capture confirmations, and provide real‑time visibility into progress and defects. The upgrade finished in five months with UAT completed in five weeks, producing detailed, recorded test results, a reusable test repository and training materials — enabling faster rollouts and broader adoption of Panaya across the organization.
