IATA Expands Journey Toward Enterprise Agile Delivery

The International Air Transport Association (IATA), the trade association for about 280 airlines, faced a complex SAP EHP upgrade while maintaining daily operations, auditing requirements, and globally distributed business users. Lacking a standardized testing platform, IATA relied on fragmented Excel and Word files and costly in-person UAT coordination, making change delivery, test documentation and visibility slow, error-prone and hard to manage.

IATA implemented Panaya Test Dynamix (and Release Dynamix) as a centralized, audit-ready testing and release platform, onboarding 100+ business users in three months and enabling real-time dashboards, notifications and impact analysis for both technical and non-technical users. The result: a successful on-time, under-budget upgrade from EHP5 to EHP8, a maintained test library, and a reduction in project effort from 2,394 to 1,139 hours—a savings of 1,255 hours (over 50%).
