Calvary Chapel, a media organization broadcasting sermons to about 25,000 people in-house and 10,000 online, needed to replace aging video equipment and move from SD tape-based production to a reliable, scalable all-digital HD workflow. They also wanted to protect mission-critical content, support disk-based archiving, and make better use of existing fiber links.
Panasas helped Calvary Chapel implement ActiveStor 14 with PanFS, Panasas content distribution technology, and MediaDB software. The new setup enabled a tapeless HD 1080i workflow, faster asset logging and distribution, and secure delivery to remote campuses in minutes instead of hours; Calvary Chapel also managed roughly 500GB of raw video per week and added the scalability and reliability needed for future growth.
