A Palo Alto Networks Case Study

Preview of the Turkcell Global Bilgi Case Study

Turkcell Global Bilgi construct a secure, software-defined data centre infrastructure with Palo Alto Networks

Turkcell Global Bilgi, Turkey’s leading digital customer experience centre with about 15,000 employees across 19 sites, faced a twofold challenge: rapidly enable roughly 14,000 call‑centre agents to work from home during the COVID‑19 pandemic and secure a new VMware NSX‑T dual‑site software‑defined data centre. Key priorities were protecting east–west and north–south traffic, automating security in the virtual environment, and ensuring security kept pace with fast server provisioning.

The company deployed Palo Alto Networks solutions—GlobalProtect and ML‑powered PA‑Series NGFWs for remote access, plus VM‑Series virtual firewalls, Panorama, and cloud‑delivered Threat Prevention for the NSX‑T SDDC. This enabled a 10‑day WFH transition, implemented microsegmentation and threat prevention across ~120 hosts, and delivered efficiency gains: automated deployments, about a 70% reduction in security deployment/management time and a 50% cut in hands‑on network security effort, while reducing the attack surface and improving detection and response.
