Travel Service Takes Cybersecurity to a Whole New Place

Schauinsland-Reisen is a nearly 100-year-old, medium-sized German travel company (300+ staff, 7th largest package tour operator in Germany) with a growing online business and a network of over 11,600 partner agencies. As web and mobile services expanded, its legacy Linux firewall and McAfee antivirus could not provide sufficient network visibility or endpoint protection, leaving the company exposed to a rising volume and sophistication of cyberthreats.

Schauinsland‑Reisen deployed the Palo Alto Networks Next‑Generation Security Platform—PA‑3020 firewalls plus Threat Prevention, URL Filtering (PAN‑DB), WildFire and Traps—to gain application-, user- and content-level visibility and advanced endpoint defense. The solution blocks daily attack attempts, proactively detects new threats, prevents malware from infecting endpoints, and gives the company granular control over Internet traffic, providing comprehensive end‑to‑end cybersecurity and assurance that customer data is protected.
