Case Study: Medux achieves 10x connectivity performance and superior security with Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD‑WAN and cloud‑delivered security

A Palo Alto Networks Case Study

Preview of the Medux Case Study

Supporting peoples’ healthcare needs with natively integrated security and connectivity

Medux, a Netherlands-based provider of care equipment with 2,600 employees and 120 stores and offices, needed to modernize its aging network as it moved to a cloud-first strategy. Its legacy design—centralised backhaul, costly MPLS links and first‑generation firewalls—created poor performance, limited bandwidth and slow, expensive site onboarding, preventing reliable, secure access for staff and customers.

Working with ncubed, Medux deployed Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD-WAN, ML‑powered and VM firewalls, and cloud-delivered security in an Azure hub with local internet breakouts and Zero Trust controls. The new virtualised, policy-driven environment delivered a roughly 10× performance improvement, resilient always‑on connectivity, stronger security, lower WAN costs through elastic bandwidth and simpler operations with rapid, zero‑touch site provisioning.
