Robust Cybersecurity Cures Endpoint Penetrations at Canadian Healthcare Company

CBI Health Group is a leading privately owned Canadian healthcare provider with about 10,000 clinicians and support staff across more than 240 offices. With all patient data and applications centralized in a primary data center accessed via Citrix VDI and VPNs, the organization faced visibility gaps and repeated ransomware infections (about three successful events per week), risking PHI exposure, remediation costs and lost user productivity.

CBI Health deployed the Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform — including Threat Prevention, AutoFocus and Traps endpoint protection on PA-5020 appliances with consulting support — to stop threats at the network edge and at endpoints. The rollout eliminated successful ransomware (including CryptoLocker), recovered roughly 8–10 staff hours per week for innovation instead of remediation, reduced breach risk, simplified security management and delivered deep visibility into the threat lifecycle.
