Palo Alto Networks InfoSec team deploys Prisma Cloud to protect the vulnerable software development lifecycle against threats and attacks

Palo Alto Networks’ Infosec team faced the challenge of securing a highly complex software development lifecycle across multiple cloud platforms, CI/CD systems, and a massive codebase while giving developers real-time visibility into vulnerabilities. To address this, the team used Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma Cloud to integrate security earlier in the SDLC and support a shift-left strategy.

Palo Alto Networks implemented Prisma Cloud across its source code management and CI/CD environments to create a single view of security issues from code to cloud, automate workflows, and prioritize risks more effectively. The results included about 1,000 scans per day, 92% of new vulnerabilities prevented, 52% of existing ones fixed, and roughly 1,800 developer hours saved over 18 months.
