Members Credit Union, a not‑for‑profit credit union based in Winston‑Salem, NC, serves members statewide with a mission to improve financial well‑being. The organization relied on MPLS WAN links to its data center, and after several provider acquisitions experienced degraded application performance, WAN outages, slow provider response times, and lengthy branch provisioning—hindering employees’ ability to serve members.

The credit union deployed Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD‑WAN with broadband at branch locations, using ION devices and application policies to monitor link and transaction metrics and steer traffic in real time. The result was improved and consistent application performance, higher branch availability, faster new‑branch turn‑up (days versus months), and simplified, centralized policy management—shortening deployment times and improving member service.
