A Palo Alto Networks Case Study
Hong Kong International School (HKIS) is a leading international K–12 school in Hong Kong with about 2,800 students across two campuses. After shifting to online learning and supporting hundreds of student and staff devices, the school faced a rapidly evolving, sophisticated threat landscape and needed to better protect student data and school systems.
HKIS deployed Palo Alto Networks Next‑Generation Firewalls and Cortex XDR (June–July 2020) to gain unified visibility, AI‑driven detection, and simplified management. The single platform lets a small IT team monitor thousands of attacks daily, blocks over 90% of incoming threats (warding off 31K attacks in one month), correlates hundreds of alerts into a few incidents, and cut incident response from weeks to hours while speeding malware detection and remediation.
