Preview of the Hong Kong International School Case Study

Hong Kong International School blocks 90% of incoming threats with Palo Alto Networks

Hong Kong International School (HKIS), a leading international school, needed to improve its security posture to cope with a rapidly increasing threat landscape and safeguard student data, especially after transitioning to online learning. To meet this challenge, HKIS partnered with Palo Alto Networks to upgrade its security infrastructure.

Palo Alto Networks implemented its Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) and Cortex XDR solution. This provided enhanced visibility, increased threat detection, and simplified management. The results were significant, with 90% of incoming threats being blocked and over 31,000 attacks warded off in a single month. The solution also drastically reduced the number of alerts from endpoints and networks, allowing the school to detect threats immediately and take remedial action.
