Globe Telecom secures 1 trillion pesos in GCash transactions with Palo Alto Networks

Globe Telecom, a major telecommunications and financial services provider in the Philippines, faced challenges with siloed security functions, managing multiple vendors, and inefficient legacy systems as it underwent digital transformation. To support its expansion and strengthen its security capabilities, the company sought a uniform solution and partnered with Palo Alto Networks.

Palo Alto Networks implemented its Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) and Prisma Cloud to provide an end-to-end security solution. This enabled Globe to standardize and consolidate its security, achieving significant operational efficiencies and cost savings. The solution was also extended to secure GCash, the company's mobile payment service which processed 1 trillion pesos in transactions in 2020, safeguarding its critical financial data and infrastructure.
