Europ Assistance, a global insurance and assistance group serving over 300 million people, faced a fragmented security environment that complicated management and risked service continuity. The IT team needed to strengthen infrastructure security (including PCI requirements), simplify configuration and routing policies, and maintain 24x7 availability while controlling many VPN accesses and bypasses such as anonymous proxies.

Working with partner Aditinet, Europ Assistance consolidated its security stack with Palo Alto Networks (two PA-2050s for high availability and a PA-500 with dynamic routing) to provide threat prevention, URL filtering and unified policy management. The deployment delivered greater visibility and control, simplified administration via a single web console, faster VPN and policy changes, prevention of proxy bypasses, optimized hardware use, and achieved PCI‑DSS certification for secure online credit card processing.
