Escritório Central de Arrecadação e Distribuição cuts application development time by up to 3 months with Palo Alto Networks

Escritório Central de Arrecadação e Distribuição (Ecad), a Brazilian nonprofit responsible for collecting and distributing copyright royalties to musicians worldwide, faced significant challenges securing its identity security program. With a hybrid infrastructure and a distributed workforce, its legacy security was ineffective against advanced attackers attempting to access financial data and royalty systems. Ecad partnered with Palo Alto Networks, using its Idira Identity Security Platform, to modernize its identity infrastructure and protect against these threats.

Palo Alto Networks implemented the Idira platform to act as a centralized authentication portal, providing single sign-on (SSO) and intelligent privilege controls. The solution was deployed in just three months and resulted in a dramatic improvement in security, with a subsequent penetration test showing virtually all previous vulnerabilities had been resolved. Palo Alto Networks' solution saved Ecad thousands of dollars and cut typical application development time by up to three months by avoiding repetitive authentication development.
