Telkom Indonesia, the nation’s largest telecommunications provider with more than 10,000 users and broad digital services, aimed to scale internationally but faced a complex network environment and persistent cyberthreats—from brute-force attacks to DDoS and SQL injection—that required a stronger security operations center to support global expansion.

Telkom deployed Palo Alto Networks next‑generation firewalls (PA‑3000 and PA‑5000 series) alongside Panorama management and AutoFocus threat intelligence, using URL filtering, IPS and threat prevention. The solution delivered greater visibility, simpler management and faster analysis, drove the lowest-ever infection rates, cut annual security costs by about 30%, reduced capex through device consolidation, and underpinned the company’s international growth plans.
