Colgate-Palmolive advances vision for secure manufacturing with a unified platform approach

Colgate-Palmolive, a global consumer packaged goods company with operations in 200+ countries and 34,000 employees, needed to raise its security standard across hundreds of corporate and manufacturing sites. CISO Alexander Schuchman sought consistent IT and OT protection, reliable connectivity and application performance, secure remote access for a distributed workforce, and a more efficient Security Operations Center while eliminating redundant tools.

Colgate-Palmolive adopted a unified Palo Alto Networks platform—Next‑Generation Firewalls, Cloud‑Delivered Security Services (Advanced Threat Prevention, WildFire, URL Filtering), Prisma SD‑WAN and Prisma Access (SASE), Cortex XSOAR and Strata Cloud Manager—to standardize security and automate SOC workflows. The consolidated approach blocked over 200,000 unique threats per month on average, improved resilience for 900+ applications (notably better Google Meet performance), and reduced six investigation tools to a single console, cutting complexity and boosting cross‑team collaboration.
